I never realized this, and I’m not sure how many others have either, but Ned Flanders is not the only left-handed character on “The Simpsons.” Many of the show’s other recurring characters are also lefties, including Bart, Moe, and Mr. Burns.
Some people believe this unusually large number of left-handed cartoons is due to creator Matt Groening being left-handed.
Unfortunately, Homer is not left-handed. So this picture doesn’t make much sense.
Info came from Simpsons wiki page.
Cool fact! I feel like now I should re-watch Disney movies and stuff like that to see if there's stuff like this I never noticed :)
ReplyDeleteLol still a cool picture though! I think Homer has enough awkward things going on for him lol. I'm happy he's a righty. I think he's happy to scarf down a doughnut with any hand though. Actually, I don't even think he needs his hands.
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice this! Oh, and my kids think they know everything about the Simpsons. Ha! I've got them now. No way they've caught this. Thanks for the ammunition.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I have not noticed this. I wonder if it goes deeper into the characters' psyche.
ReplyDeleteThis is cool. I wonder if any of the characters on Family Guy are left handed. I'm more of a Family Guy fan, than a Simpsons fan. Still neat though.
