The Simpsons are Left-Handed

I never realized this, and I’m not sure how many others have either, but Ned Flanders is not the only left-handed character on “The Simpsons.”  Many of the show’s other recurring characters are also lefties, including Bart, Moe, and Mr. Burns.

Some people believe this unusually large number of left-handed cartoons is due to creator Matt Groening being left-handed.

Unfortunately, Homer is not left-handed.  So this picture doesn’t make much sense.

Info came from Simpsons wiki page.

  1. Cool fact! I feel like now I should re-watch Disney movies and stuff like that to see if there's stuff like this I never noticed :)

  2. Lol still a cool picture though! I think Homer has enough awkward things going on for him lol. I'm happy he's a righty. I think he's happy to scarf down a doughnut with any hand though. Actually, I don't even think he needs his hands.

  3. I didn't notice this! Oh, and my kids think they know everything about the Simpsons. Ha! I've got them now. No way they've caught this. Thanks for the ammunition.

  4. I can't believe I have not noticed this. I wonder if it goes deeper into the characters' psyche.

  5. This is cool. I wonder if any of the characters on Family Guy are left handed. I'm more of a Family Guy fan, than a Simpsons fan. Still neat though.
